Real Madrid is preparing to bid for Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister in a future transfer window. Sky Germany reports that the Spanish club has identified the 27-year-old as a target. Manager José Mourinho supports the move. He values Mac Allister's physical presence and his strength in challenges. The Argentine international is a key figure for the Reds at Anfield.

Mac Allister is under contract with Liverpool until 2028. He does not have a concrete plan to extend his deal right now. Real Madrid is monitoring his situation closely. Liverpool is expected to resist any early approach. The club considers him a vital player in its midfield rotation. They will likely demand a high fee to part with him.

As Liverpool watches its key man, the club is already looking at other options. Sky Germany says Liverpool holds Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha in high regard. The 26-year-old is not a priority target at this moment. However, that status could change in the future. Liverpool needs reinforcements in that specific position. Nmecha signed with Dortmund from Wolfsburg in 2023. He is under contract with the German club until June 2030.

Liverpool has a shortlist of other central midfielders. It includes Monaco's Lamine Camara and Bournemouth's Alex Scott. Both players have been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United in recent months. Liverpool is interested in their potential to fill the gap left by a possible Mac Allister departure. The club is keeping its options open for the next few windows.

Arsenal is also active in the transfer market. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports an interest in Monza striker Gustavo Varela. The 21-year-old Portuguese forward has scored seven goals in eight Serie A matches this season. His performance has attracted interest from Napoli and his former club, Benfica. Napoli might move in January to secure his services before rivals. Benfica retains a right to match future offers. It is also entitled to 20% of the profit from his next transfer.

Manchester United remains focused on Newcastle United left back Lewis Hall. Football Insider reports that the 22-year-old could cost upwards of £70 million. Hall recently extended his contract with Newcastle until 2031. United could revive its pursuit next summer. Newcastle is set to reject any departure in January. Hall is believed to be happy at St James' Park. He has not ruled out a future move to Old Trafford, though.

Bayern Munich is closely monitoring Borussia Mönchengladbach's Wael Mohya. Sky Germany notes that Dortmund, RB Leipzig, and Bayer Leverkusen are also interested in the 17-year-old. A winter transfer is considered unlikely at this stage. Gladbach wants to extend his contract beyond 2028 as soon as possible. The new deal would include a release clause. Mohya staying beyond next summer is only conceivable if the club avoids relegation.
