AEG Presents released the first show dates for Moonline, the 1,500-capacity music venue located in Riverside.
The announcement comes one week after the company revealed the opening lineup for United Heritage Hall, a separate 4,000-seat venue nearby. Moonline occupies the current home of Emo's, which is relocating downtown to the space where it began operations more than 30 years ago.
AEG says Moonline will open in 2027 following renovations to the sound system, green rooms, backstage areas, and guest amenities. The company plans to book acts across a wide range of genres, including pop, rock, hip-hop, emo, and hardcore.
The initial schedule lists 11 shows between February 13 and May 26, 2027. The lineup includes the Talking Heads tribute band HeartByrne, Los Angeles band Bad Suns, and singer-songwriter Chelsea Cutler. Later dates feature British progressive metal band Haken, Chicago indie rock group Beach Bunny, and metalcore act Currents.
The calendar also includes New Jersey punk band Saves the Day, New York hardcore group Gorilla Biscuits with Terror, Houston rapper Paul Wall, and covers group Postmodern Jukebox. Indie rock artist Blondshell closes the announced slate. Robin Phillips, AEG Presents Southwest Region VP, stated that the schedule reflects a goal to make the venue a space where different types of music feel at home in the same month.
Tickets for most of the listed shows begin presale on October 29, with public sales starting at 10 a.m. on October 30. Beach Bunny has a separate presale starting November 12, with public sales on November 13. All tickets are available through moonlineaustin.com.
Moonline and United Heritage Hall are separate businesses located one mile apart, though they share ownership. United Heritage Hall is a new construction project, while Moonline is a renovated existing space. Both venues will book touring acts with national fan bases, but Moonline will focus on alternative talent while United Heritage Hall targets larger mainstream artists.
