Pennsylvania voters can verify status ahead of Tuesday's midterms
The registration deadline passed on Oct. 19, but residents can still confirm their polling places and district assignments online.

Pennsylvania residents facing the Nov. 3 midterm elections can verify their voter registration status through the state Department of State website. The agency provides an online tool that confirms whether a citizen is registered and displays their assigned polling location.
To use the system, users must search by name or driver's license number. A name search requires the user to input their county of residence, ZIP code, first and last names, and date of birth. The system then generates a record showing the voter's status, their specific voting districts, and their polling place.
Those choosing the driver's license option must enter their date of birth along with their Pennsylvania driver's license or PennDOT ID card number. This method bypasses the need to enter county or ZIP code details.
The state's deadline to register for the upcoming election was Oct. 19. That date has now passed, meaning new residents cannot register for the first time for Tuesday's vote. However, the department notes that registered voters do not need to re-register for each election. Registration remains active unless the individual changes their name, address, or political party affiliation.
Voters can update their existing registration information online. Alternatively, they may download a paper application and submit it to their local county voter registration office. The department lists all office locations on its website for those who prefer an in-person submission.
