Anthropic, the San Francisco developer of the Claude chatbot, reported quarterly revenue of $17 billion in an updated initial public offering filing released on Monday. The disclosure indicates the company remains in the red despite a rapid increase in sales.
The filing shows Anthropic recorded a net loss of $23.3 billion for the latest three months. For the first nine months of 2026, the company generated $33.2 billion in revenue, a thirteenfold increase from the prior year. That period included a $104 billion net loss, driven largely by a $94 billion accounting adjustment tied to financing agreements.
The document details a massive capital commitment for AI computing and infrastructure. Anthropic has pledged to spend $895.4 billion on data centers and related assets, with $70 billion of that amount scheduled for the next 12 months.
This updated filing arrived roughly one week after the company submitted its original IPO paperwork. The update does not specify the total amount of capital Anthropic intends to raise or the price of its shares upon listing. The company has previously stated it will debut on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker symbol ANT.
The financials reflect a trend seen among major artificial intelligence competitors, where revenue growth outpaces the path to profitability. The new numbers provide a clearer view of the operational costs required to support the firm's expanding service offerings ahead of its planned public market entry later this month.
