The Colorado Avalanche released a new uniform on Sunday that features a blue and white color scheme accented with metallic silver. The jersey, part of a league-wide program called the Hometown Remix, includes a mountain elevation pattern on the front crest and the numbers on the back. Rocky Mountain imagery appears on the shoulders, while silver detailing wraps around the logos and sleeves.

The design aims to reflect Denver’s specific geography and climate. The NHL described the metallic elements as creating a frosted and glistening look meant to evoke new snow and crisp mountain air. The uniform is distinct from the team’s previous designs because it incorporates specific elevation data and local landscape features directly into the fabric structure.

Fanatics, which became the NHL’s official uniform partner in 2024, collaborated directly with the Avalanche organization to develop the kit. The partnership allows each club to shape its uniform based on local identity rather than adhering strictly to traditional hockey aesthetics. For the Avalanche, the process focused on translating the visual identity of the Rocky Mountains into a wearable garment.

Dom Fillion, Vice President of Creative Design for Fanatics, stated that the Hometown Remix is the most exciting initiative the team has designed and delivered with its partners since joining the NHL in 2024. He noted that the project represents the most ambitious work from the partnership to date.

Fillion emphasized the collaborative nature of the program, saying the goal was to ensure the uniforms felt authentic and personal to each city. He expressed anticipation for seeing the jerseys worn by teams on the ice and by fans in the stands throughout the season. The league-wide initiative involves thirty different teams releasing unique designs based on their respective locations.

The Avalanche’s specific design elements were chosen to represent the team’s name and location. The elevation pattern running across the jersey serves as a structural visual thread, while the silver material provides a textural contrast to the blue and white base. This approach differentiates the kit from generic team branding by tying the visual elements to the physical environment of Colorado.

The release is the latest development in Fanatics’ relationship with the NHL, which began in 2024. The Hometown Remix program is the first major uniform initiative under this partnership. The new jersey for the Avalanche is now available to fans and will be worn by the team during the upcoming season.

The design process involved input from the franchise to ensure the final product reflected local culture. The result is a uniform that combines traditional team colors with specific geographic markers. The metallic silver finish is a key feature, intended to stand out under arena lighting and in fan displays.
