Olivia Rodrigo releases first holiday single with Nixon and Marshall

Olivia Rodrigo will release her first holiday single, "take me home (4 christmas)," on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. The announcement came via Instagram, where the artist shared the release time and a link to preorder the track.

The single launches simultaneously with a new music video. The film features Rodrigo alongside actress Cynthia Nixon and Saturday Night Live cast member Ben Marshall.

Rodrigo wrote the song with collaborators Dan Nigro and Amy Allen. Nigro also produced the track. Fans can buy the song on digital platforms or in physical formats. An exclusive 7-inch vinyl and cassette are available for preorder on Rodrigo’s website. Target will stock the vinyl starting Friday.

This release follows the recent rollout of a remix for "expectations," which features Chappell Roan. The remix became the highest-peaking all-female collaboration on the Billboard Hot 100 this year. Its release also pushed Rodrigo's third album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, back to the top of the Billboard 200 album chart.

Rodrigo is currently performing on her The Unraveled Tour. The tour has sold over 1 million tickets worldwide. A press release states the tour has broken several venue records.
