Shoppers and diners in the Sioux Falls area have three new options for holiday plans this season. Prairie View Event Hall in Tea has scheduled a series of gatherings that include a themed dinner, a large-scale vendor fair, and a Christmas-themed market.
The venue owner, Ember Davis, explained the reasoning behind their holiday calendar. Instead of joining the crowded Halloween event scene, the team chose to focus on a specific Friday the 13th theme. Davis noted that a food vendor wanted to develop a concept centered on the movie The Menu. The event partners collaborated with that vendor to create a five-course meal that matches the film’s narrative.
That dinner theater is set for Friday, November 13. The evening runs from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Attendees will watch the screening of The Menu while eating the paired menu.
The following day, on Saturday, November 14, the hall hosts its Holiday Market Vendor Fair. This event takes place at 27091 Kerslake Place in Tea. The fair runs from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. More than 50 vendors will set up booths to sell holiday items. The venue will also serve drinks at a bar and provide food through a catering partner named Squealers.
A second major gathering is scheduled for later in the year. The Christmas at the Prairie Vendor Fair is set for Saturday, December 12. It operates on the same 10:00 am to 2:00 pm schedule. Like the November market, this fair features over 50 vendors, a bar, and food from Squealers. The December event adds photo opportunities with Santa Claus.
Davis said the venue wants to help local vendors grow their businesses by giving them a larger platform. The collaboration with the food vendor for the dinner theater is part of that effort. The hall aims to provide a space where visitors can complete their holiday shopping and socialize in one location.
The Prairie View Event Hall website lists details for all three events. Tickets for the dinner theater and information for the vendor fairs are available online at prairieviewevents.com.
