Olivia Rodrigo Releases First Holiday Single This Thursday

Olivia Rodrigo will release her first holiday single, 'take me home (4 christmas),' on Thursday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. The singer announced the arrival of the new music via Instagram on Sunday.

Fans can preorder the digital track immediately. Rodrigo also offers the song on physical formats. An exclusive 7-inch vinyl and cassette are available on her official website. Target will stock the vinyl starting Friday.

A new music video will drop at the same time as the single. The video features Rodrigo alongside Cynthia Nixon and Ben Marshall, a cast member of Saturday Night Live. Rodrigo wrote the song with Dan Nigro and Amy Allen. Nigro also produced the track.

This release follows the recent launch of a remix for 'expectations.' That version features Chappell Roan. The original song appeared on Rodrigo's third album, 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.' The remix became the highest peaking all-female collaboration on the Billboard Hot 100 this year. It also pushed the album back to the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

Rodrigo is currently performing on her 'The Unraveled Tour.' The tour has sold more than 1 million tickets worldwide. It has also broken several venue records, according to a press release.
